QUINTE RED DEVILS WEEKLY REPORT - November 17th, 2025
The Quinte Red Devils AAA program continues to build momentum across all age groups, with athletes competing hard every night and representing the Quinte AAA zone with pride. As we move deeper into the season, our teams are showcasing strong development, teamwork, and resilience—reflected in a combined regular-season record of 76 wins, 27 losses, and 9 ties. From tightly contested battles to big offensive surges, every team contributed to another exciting week of Red Devils hockey.

U14 – Madison Excavating Red Devils

Sunday Night Battle Ends in Tight 2–1 Loss

The Madison Excavating U14 Red Devils travelled to Markham for a high-energy matchup against the Waxers. Markham struck twice early in the opening period, but Quinte battled back, generating pressure and creating scoring chances. In the second period, Max Bucknell buried a power-play goal off a feed from Nico Dipietrantonio, pulling QRD within one.

The third period brought strong two-way hockey from both sides, with the Devils pushing hard for the equalizer. Goaltender Ben Larmer delivered an excellent performance, turning away several dangerous chances, but QRD ultimately fell 2–1 in a tight road contest.

U16 – HockeyStickMan Red Devils

Four-Point Weekend Capped by Dramatic OT Victory

The HockeyStickMan U16 Red Devils collected two wins in their home-and-home series with the Central Ontario Wolves.

On Saturday in Scugog, QRD opened the scoring in the second period when Andrew Laurin buried a feed from Coen Lowry. Moments later, Austin Pettey capitalized on a turnover to extend the lead to 2–0. Central Ontario tied the game in the third, but Austin Preston restored the advantage before Jax Martin sealed a 4–2 road win with an empty-netter. Landen White earned the victory in net.

Sunday’s rematch in Belleville delivered even more drama. Down 1–0 early, QRD surged ahead on two goals by Lawson Minifie, including a short-handed effort. Central tied it 2–2, but Laurin put the Devils back in front on the power play. After the Wolves scored twice to take a 4–3 lead, Quinte pulled their goalie and Laurin tied it with 1:17 remaining. In overtime, Andrew Dewar scored the winner off a rebound from Lauchlan Whelan, sealing a 5–4 victory. Nathan Ferriss earned the win.

U18 – Quinte Red Devils

U18s Split OMHA Showcase Weekend

The U18 Red Devils headed to Brampton for the OMHA Showcase, earning a win and a loss.

On Saturday, QRD defeated the Guelph Gryphons 7–4, led by a four-goal performance from Isaac Tracze. Additional markers came from Wyatt Albright, Maddox Vespa, and Oliver Coyle. Assists were spread across the roster, including contributions from Ryan Babbs, Maclean Chisholm, Noah Lesser, Jaden Leach, Owen Rivers, Dan Foster, Connor Fetterley, Wyatt Albright, Galen O’Shea, and Pierson Clute.

On Sunday, the Devils battled but fell 4–3 to the Hamilton Steel. Goals were scored by Fetterley, Rivers, and Tracze, with assists from Tracze, Vespa, and O’Shea.

U10 – Belleville Integrative Health Centre Red Devils

U10s Earn Five of Six Possible Points on the Road

The BIHC U10 Red Devils completed a strong three-game road weekend, collecting two wins and a tie.

On Friday vs. North Central, QRD struck early and controlled the play, ultimately securing a commanding 9–1 victory.

Saturday in Innisfil was a tight contest filled with special-teams action. Down 2–1 heading into the third, QRD battled back to tie the game late, including a dramatic goal with 6.7 seconds remaining, earning a resilient 3–3 final.

Sunday’s matchup against North Central saw a scoreless opening period before QRD erupted for four unanswered goals in the second, leading to a 4–2 win and a strong close to the weekend.

U11s Split Weekend Schedule

The U11 Red Devils earned a win and a loss on the weekend.

Saturday in Ajax, QRD erased a 1–0 deficit with a dominant third period en route to a 5–2 victory. Goals came from Mason Cooke, Ryker Valois, Cooney, and McCormick, with Aiden Ferreira earning the win in net.

Sunday in Marmora, the Devils fell 5–1 to the Barrie Jr. Colts. Pearce McCormick scored the lone Quinte goal, assisted by Jaxson Withers, while Emerson Courtney battled in net.

U12 – Breakaway Fuels Red Devils

U12s Earn Three of Four Weekend Points

The Breakaway Fuels U12 Red Devils collected three of four points in a pair of home games.

On Saturday, QRD edged the Central Ontario Wolves 2–1 behind goals from Tripp Plumley and Jared Russell, with assists from Kolton Solmes and Charlie Dwyer. Jordan Andrews secured the win in net.

Sunday in Campbellford, the Devils overcame a 1–0 deficit with goals from Jackson Simpson (from Kai Mackie and Avery Thickson) and Mackie (assisted by Simpson) to take a 2–1 lead. Whitby tied the game late, resulting in a 2–2 final. Deacon Vos stood tall in net to preserve the point.

U13 – 417 Bus Line Red Devils

U13s Improve to 9–0 With Two Strong Road Wins

The 417 Bus Line U13 Red Devils continued their undefeated league run with two road victories this weekend, improving to 9–0.

On Saturday in Courtice, QRD earned a hard-fought 3–2 win over the North Shore Whitecaps. Max Norton scored twice, with Ryker Thompson adding the third goal. Chance Cooney picked up the lone assist, and Blake Laurin earned the win in net.

On Sunday in Markham, the Red Devils delivered a dominant 9–2 performance over the Waxers. Goals came from Ryker Thompson (2), Will Beebe, Jensen Campbell, Max Norton, Kade Whelan, Kash Nelson, Jaxon Elrick, and Noah Gilchrist. Assists were recorded by Norton (3), Nelson, Thompson, Gilchrist, Whelan, Beebe, Dawson Szubzda-Hill, and Malkin Courtney. Ryan Keyes secured the win between the pipes.
