The Quinte Red Devils AAA program wrapped up another action-packed week of hockey, highlighted by dominant performances, tight defensive battles, and continued success across all divisions. With strong efforts on both home and road ice, the organization now holds a combined season record of 85 wins, 31 losses, and 11 ties.
U16 – HOCKEYSTICKMAN RED DEVILS
U16s Shine in Two High-Intensity Matchups vs Top OMHA Opponents
The Hockeystickman U16s hosted two heavyweight contests this weekend and delivered outstanding performances.
Saturday vs. York-Simcoe Express
QRD jumped out to a 2–0 lead in the first with goals from Lauchlan Whelan (Laurin) and Ewan Dahle (Ottenhof). YSE closed the gap before intermission, but the Devils took over in the second. Whelan added another on the power play (Laurin, Ottenhof), and Colton Dee buried a point shot assisted by Jack Sutton and Ottenhof for a 4–1 lead. Despite late pressure, Landen White shut the door, securing a 4–3 win and sweeping the season series.
Sunday vs. Barrie Colts
Barrie opened the scoring, but QRD answered with goals from Whelan (Andrews, Dewar, Laurin) and Jax Martin (Whelan, Minifie). In the third, Laurin (Whelan) and Whelan again (Ottenhof, Dee) put QRD ahead 4–2. Barrie stormed back late, tying the game and eventually winning in overtime, handing QRD their first lost point of the season.

U10s Split Weekend With Strong Road Effort and Sunday Rebound
The U10s hit the road for back-to-back away games, earning one loss and one convincing win.
Saturday @ Whitby Wildcats
Two undefeated teams met in a high-energy matchup. After a scoreless first, Whitby scored early in the second and added to their lead through sustained pressure. QRD battled hard and found the net once during a crease scramble, but fell 5–1 despite strong stretches of play and compete level.
Sunday @ Markham Waxers
Markham struck first, but QRD battled back with pace, teamwork, and disciplined defensive play. Once they took over the momentum, they never looked back, skating to an impressive 7–2 victory and finishing the weekend with a split.

U11s Split the Weekend: Tough Loss Saturday, Strong Win Sunday
Saturday @ Whitby Wildcats
In a tight defensive contest, both teams limited chances and received strong goaltending. Aiden Ferreira kept QRD close, but Quinte couldn’t find the back of the net and fell 2–0.
Sunday vs. North Shore Whitecaps (Madoc)
Quinte opened with a goal from Withers (Elrick). After North Shore tied it, White (Unger) and Unger (May) added goals to restore the lead. A late Whitecaps power-play marker made things interesting, but QRD held firm for a 3–2 win. Emerson Courtney earned the victory in goal.

U12s Dominate Weekend With Two Shutout Wins
A flawless weekend saw the U12 Red Devils combine stellar goaltending with explosive offense.
Saturday @ Ajax-Pickering
QRD led 1–0 after the first thanks to Jared Russell (unassisted). Goals from Tripp Plumley (Solmes) and Smith Pilon (Bradford) extended the lead. The third period was all Quinte—Ethan Dowling (2), Jackson Simpson, and Kai Mackie rounded out the scoring in a 7–0 win. Jordan Andrews earned the shutout.
Sunday vs North Central (Marmora)
QRD returned to Marmora for the first time since U10—and delivered a statement performance. The team scored early and often, piling up 11 goals across three periods. Deacon Vos was perfect in net, securing the team’s second shutout of the weekend.

U13s Extend Perfect Record to 10–0 With Weekend Win
The U13 Red Devils earned a 4–1 victory over the Barrie Jr. Colts, improving their undefeated league record to 10–0.
Scoring was provided by Ryker Thompson (2), Declan Doyle, and Will Beebe. Assists went to Kade Whelan (2), Dawson Szubzda-Hill, Charlie Petherick, and Noah Gilchrist. Blake Laurin was solid in net.

U14s Complete a Three-Game Road Swing With Strong Compete and One Victory
Friday @ North Central Predators
North Central opened with a shorthanded goal and added a late power-play marker for a 2–0 final. Hayden Tripp kept QRD close with a strong outing.
Saturday @ North Central Predators
A bounce-back effort saw QRD answer quickly. Cooper Plumley (Auciello, Parsons) tied the game before Everett Brown buried the eventual game-winner late in the second. Ben Larmer shut the door in the final minutes, sealing a 2–1 win.
Sunday @ Barrie Jr. Colts
Barrie scored first, but QRD immediately replied with Brown one-timing a feed from Kadyn Bowden. Barrie regained the lead in the second and held on despite heavy third-period pressure from QRD. Tripp stood tall throughout the 2–1 loss.
