The Quinte Red Devils AAA program continues to demonstrate depth, development, and fierce competitiveness across all age divisions. With tournament runs, league wins, and several shutouts earned this week, our teams pushed the organization to a combined record of 102–45–18. This week’s recap begins with our U11 Red Devils, fresh off an impressive finals appearance in Hamilton.
U11 – Finalists at the Hamilton Steel Tournament
The U11 Quinte Red Devils had an outstanding weekend at the Hamilton Steel Tournament, battling all the way to the Championship Final and showing impressive heart and resilience throughout.

Round Robin:

Opened with a tight 2–1 loss to the Grey Bruce Highlanders.

Bounced back immediately with a dominant 11–1 win over the Cambridge Hawks.

Earned a 0–0 draw in a defensive battle against the Brantford 99ers.

Closed out round-robin play with a convincing 6–0 shutout over the host Hamilton Steel to secure a semi-final spot.

Semi-Final vs Soo Greyhounds:
Quinte built a 2–0 lead, including a shorthanded goal, before the Soo battled back late to force overtime. In dramatic fashion, QRD scored with one second left in OT to punch their ticket to the final.

Championship Final vs Grey Bruce Highlanders:
The U11s erased a 2–0 deficit, tied the game 2–2, then took a 3–2 lead early in the third. Grey Bruce tied it late, then scored the go-ahead goal in the final minute before adding an empty-netter for a 5–3 final. Despite the loss, the Red Devils’ effort and compete level were outstanding all weekend.
On Deck: The U11s return to league play on Sunday, December 14, hosting the Ajax-Pickering Raiders in Marmora (12:30 p.m. puck drop).
U12 – Breakaway Fuels U12s Add Two More League Wins
The Breakaway Fuels U12 Red Devils picked up four key league points, with a midweek road win and a Sunday home win.

Wednesday @ Markham Waxers:
After a scoreless first period, QRD exploded offensively, scoring six goals in the second and four more in the third to earn a 10–0 victory in a complete team performance.

Sunday vs Ajax-Pickering Raiders (Campbellford):
Quinte earned a hard-fought 3–0 win. Jared Russell opened the scoring in the first, followed by two goals from Kai Mackie (one in the second, one in the third). Deacon Vos was excellent in net, making several key saves to preserve the shutout.

U13 – 417 Bus Line U13s Stay Perfect at 12–0
The 417 Bus Line U13 Red Devils continued their dominant start to the season with another big road win.

Sunday @ Markham Waxers:
Quinte skated to a 14–1 victory, improving to 12–0 on the season.
Goal scorers: Kash Nelson (3), Kade Whelan (3), Jensen Campbell (2), Will Beebe (2), Jaxon Elrick (2), Max Norton, Dawson Szubzda-Hill.
Assists were spread across the lineup, with notable multi-point efforts from Thompson, Gilchrist, Nelson, Whelan, Beebe, Szubzda-Hill, and Elrick. Blake Laurin earned the win in net.
On Deck: The U13s head to the Vaughan Kings Classic Tournament, with round-robin games against Elgin-Middlesex, North York, Upper Canada, and Toronto.
U14 – Madison Excavating U14s Reach Semi-Finals at Hamilton Steel Classic
The Madison Excavating U14 Red Devils put together a strong weekend at the Hamilton Steel Classic, advancing to the semi-finals and showcasing consistency, depth, and clutch performances.

Game 1 – 5–1 Win vs Kitchener Jr. Rangers
Quick early goals from Max Bucknell and Cooper Plumley set the tone. Jack Seeney, Robbie Robinson, and AP Ryker Thompson rounded out the scoring, while Ben Larmer was sharp in net.

Game 2 – 3–0 Win vs Cambridge Hawks
After two scoreless periods, QRD broke it open in the third with goals from Seeney, Eli Kelly-Clarke, and Carter Colebourne. Hayden Tripp earned the shutout.

Game 3 – 3–3 Draw vs Southern Tier Admirals
Quinte led twice in a back-and-forth game, with goals from Plumley and Colby Banks (2), but Southern Tier battled back to earn the draw. Larmer was clutch throughout.

Game 4 – 5–3 Win vs Windsor Jr. Spitfires
AP Ryker Thompson, Everett Brown (2), Robbie Robinson, and Seeney provided the scoring in a high-tempo win that secured a quarter-final berth. Tripp was strong again in goal.

Quarter-Final – 3–2 OT Win vs Sun County Panthers
Goals from Brown and Bucknell in regulation and Bucknell’s OT winner propelled QRD into the semis. Larmer backstopped the win with another solid performance.

Semi-Final – 2–1 2OT Loss vs North Bay Trappers
AP Griffin Van Gemeren scored to tie the game, and QRD pushed hard through two overtimes, but North Bay scored late in second OT to end a tight, well-played semi-final. Tripp battled all game in net.

U18 – U18s Drop Two Close Games, Prepare for Gold Puck Invitational
The U18 Quinte Red Devils battled through a pair of tough league games this weekend.

Saturday @ Central Ontario Wolves:
The Wolves jumped out to a 2–0 lead before QRD answered with a power play goal from Isaac Tracze (assists: Clute, Chisholm) and a strong end-to-end effort from Connor Fetterley to tie the game 2–2. Central Ontario scored late in the third to hand QRD a 3–2 loss.

Sunday vs Barrie Colts (CAA Pad – QSWC):
Barrie opened the scoring, but Quinte responded with a goal from Isaac Tracze (O’Shea, Rivers) and a power-play marker from Liam Grant (Babbs) to take a 2–1 lead into the intermission. Fetterley added another in the third (Babbs), but Barrie scored four in the final frame to take a 5–3 win.
The U18 Red Devils now sit in a three-way tie for third place in OMHA East league play.
On Deck: The U18s travel to Waterloo next weekend for the Gold Puck Invitational.
U10 – Strong Run at the Hamilton Steel Classic
The U10 BIHC Quinte Red Devils put together an impressive run at the Hamilton Steel Classic, going undefeated in round-robin play and advancing to the semi-finals.

Game 1 – 3–2 Win vs Credit River Capitals
QRD came back from a 2–0 deficit, tied the game in the third, and scored the winner late, holding strong through a late penalty to secure the comeback victory.

Game 2 – 9–4 Win vs Huron Perth Lakers
After trailing 3–0, the Red Devils took over, tying the game and then pulling away in a big second period before adding two more in the third.

Game 3 – 3–3 Tie vs Hamilton Steel
Quinte built a 2–0 lead, then saw Hamilton battle back. QRD briefly regained the lead before a late penalty allowed the Steel to equalize.

Game 4 – 6–0 Win vs Cambridge Hawks
QRD dominated from start to finish, building a 3–0 lead in the first and extending it through the second and third for a convincing shutout win.

Semi-Final – 0–2 Loss vs Toronto Titans
In a tight, playoff-style game, the Titans finally broke through in the third and later added an empty-netter. Despite the 2–0 loss, the U10s showed strong structure, compete, and growth all weekend.
