U10 – BIHC U10 Quinte Red Devils Earn Two Big Wins
The BIHC U10 Quinte Red Devils put together an impressive weekend, earning a pair of hard-fought victories against Kingston and Peterborough.
QRD vs. Kingston Jr. Gaels
Saturday, January 17 | Invista Centre
Kingston opened the scoring on the power play to take a 1–0 lead after the first period and added another early in the second. QRD responded with a crisp tic-tac-toe goal and later tied the game on the power play to make it 2–2.
In a tense third period, a late Kingston penalty during 4-on-4 play proved costly. Quinte capitalized with the go-ahead goal with just over a minute remaining and held strong after a late timeout to secure the win.

QRD vs. Peterborough Petes
Sunday, January 18 | Madoc Arena
QRD came out flying, opening the scoring early and carrying a 1–0 lead into the second. Quinte extended the lead to 2–0 before Peterborough responded. QRD struck again to make it 3–1, but the Petes answered to keep it close.
Quinte restored the two-goal lead late in the second, though Peterborough tightened it to 4–3. A clutch early third-period goal gave QRD breathing room, and an empty-netter sealed the win.

U11 – Quinte Red Devils Battle Through The Cup AAA in Buffalo
The U11 Quinte Red Devils showcased grit and skill this past weekend at The Cup AAA tournament in Buffalo, finishing among the top teams in a highly competitive 22-team field.
The Devils opened Friday with a narrow 3–2 loss to the Province Capitals before bouncing back with a strong 6–3 win over the Ohio Blue Jackets later that day.
Saturday saw the offense erupt with a dominant 12–1 win over The Wolfpack Hockey Club, followed by a memorable outdoor victory at Riverworks, defeating the Casco Bay Mariners Elite 7–2.
With a 3-1-0 round-robin record, Quinte finished 6th overall and advanced to the quarterfinals, where they battled the Boston Junior Eagles before falling 3–1.
On Deck – U11
U12 – Breakaway Fuels U12 Fall in Buffalo Semifinals
The Breakaway Fuels U12 Red Devils travelled to Buffalo for The AAA Cup Tournament, navigating tough weather and strong competition.
Quinte opened Friday with a tight 3–2 win over the Lovell Winter Club, followed by a 5–1 outdoor victory over the Grey Bruce Highlanders in a setting that created lasting memories for the team.
Saturday continued the momentum with wins over the Jersey Hitmen (6–3) and Amherst Knights (5–0), earning the Devils a perfect 4–0 record and a bye straight to the semifinals.
In Sunday’s semifinal matchup against the Elgin Middlesex Canucks, Quinte tied the game late in the second period but ultimately fell 2–1 despite outshooting Elgin 26–15.

U13 – 417 Bus Line U13 Red Devils Stay Busy
The U13 Red Devils played three games over the weekend, hosting the Syracuse Nationals for a pair of exhibition matchups before heading to Pickering on Sunday.

Quinte rallied late for a thrilling 4–3 comeback win, scoring twice in the final minute to seal victory on home ice.
Saturday vs. Markham Waxers
A tight-checking contest ended in a 3–0 loss, with strong play between the pipes keeping the game within reach.
Sunday @ Whitby Wildcats
QRD delivered a composed road performance, skating to a 4–1 win capped by a late empty-net goal.
Ben Larmer was outstanding throughout the week, anchoring the Devils with calm and consistent goaltending.

U16 – Red Devils Compete at Tournament of Champions
The U16 Red Devils took part in the Steve Richey Tournament of Champions in Peterborough, opening with back-to-back shutout victories before advancing to the Round of 16.
Highlights included wins over North Shore and Guelph, followed by a must-win victory against Chatham-Kent. The tournament run concluded with a hard-fought loss to Ajax-Pickering.
