QUINTE RED DEVILS WEEKLY SUMMARY - February 2, 2026
The Quinte Red Devils continued a strong stretch across the organization this week, highlighted by key wins, milestone performances, and a marquee event ahead as the organization prepares to host the OMHA East U16 AAA Showcase at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre.

U12 – Breakaway Fuels U12 Wrap Up Home Games With a Win

The Breakaway Fuels U12 Devils played a road game Saturday before skating their final home game of the regular season in Campbellford on Sunday.

Saturday saw the young Devils head to Ajax to take on the pesky Raiders. The first period was a hard-fought battle, with Quinte scoring the lone goal with four minutes left in the frame. The Devils then found another gear, scoring two more in each of the second and third periods to earn a convincing 5–0 win. Jordan Andrews stood tall in goal to earn the shutout.

Goals: Kolton Solmes, Jayden Stehlik (2), Kai Mackie, Jackson Simpson
Assists: Ethan Dowling (2), Stehlik, Tripp Plumley, Jared Russell

On Sunday, the Breakaway Fuels boys hosted the Peterborough Petes in Campbellford. This one was scoreless through the first. Plumley opened the scoring early in the second from Solmes, before Peterborough tied it late in the period. With just 55 seconds remaining in the second, Jackson Simpson made a great pass to Kai Mackie to restore the lead. The Devils added insurance in the third when Plumley and Solmes connected again. After a power-play goal made it 3–2, Quinte buckled down and finished the game with a big defensive effort in the final moments with Deacon Vos holding the fort in net.

Back-to-back games in Woodville on Saturday and Sunday against the Central Ontario Wolves.


U13 – 417 Bus Line U13 Red Devils Go 2 for 2

The team won both of their games this week to improve their regular season record to 18-1.

Blake Laurin earned the win in net.

U14 – Madison Excavating U14 Fight Hard Against League Leaders

Despite a tough result against the league’s unbeaten York-Simcoe Express, the Madison Excavating U14 Quinte Red Devils showed resilience and determination throughout the matchup.

Saturday, January 31 – vs. York-Simcoe Express
Quinte faced the unbeaten Express at home in a game that ended in a 10–0 loss. Despite the scoreline, the Devils battled hard in all three zones and continued to compete through every shift until the final buzzer.

U16 – HockeyStickMan U16 Red Devils Set the Stage for Showcase Weekend

The HockeyStickMan U16 Red Devils had a busy and productive week as the regular season winds down.

A rescheduled trip to Ajax on Wednesday saw the Devils earn a dramatic 3–2 win, capped by a last-second game-winner. Friday night, Quinte delivered a dominant 5–1 victory over Kingston, led by a hat trick and an assist from Andrew Laurin. Saturday in Scugog brought another tight battle, with Quinte earning an overtime win as Lauchlan Whelan buried the OT winner to complete a six-point week and settle into second place in the standings heading into the final three regular season games.

This week’s action continues with a home game Thursday night, followed by the highly anticipated OMHA East U16 AAA Showcase at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre February 6–8, welcoming all 11 OMHA East teams. Quinte plays Saturday at 11:30 AM and Sunday at 10:30 AM, both on the Mackay Insurance Pad, in two key matchups during Showcase weekend.

U18 – Red Devils Blank York-Simcoe

The Quinte U18’s hosted the York-Simcoe Express on Saturday and earned a 1–0 victory. Quinte scored halfway through the first period on a power-play goal by Owen Rivers, with assists going to Maclean Chisholm and Pierson Clute. Alex Beaupré earned the shutout and was steady between the pipes.


U10 – Red Devils Respond With a Big Win

Coming off a tough loss last weekend, the Quinte Red Devils showed great resilience, regrouping and responding in a big way. From the opening faceoff, Quinte played a complete two-way game, winning battles in all three zones and playing for each other every shift. Strong team play combined with sensational goaltending paved the way as Quinte controlled the pace and capitalized on their opportunities, earning a well-deserved 4–1 victory over the Raiders.

U11 – Late-Game Drama Highlights Two-Game Week

The U11 Quinte Red Devils showcased late-game drama this past week, splitting a pair of tightly contested matchups. After a loss to Kingston Jr. Gaels in their regular-season finale on Wednesday, the Devils displayed resilience on Sunday, exploding for three goals in the final minutes to shut out the Central Ontario Wolves.

On Wednesday night at the CAA Arena, Quinte met the Kingston Jr. Gaels. Aiden Ferreira stood tall in net, and the game remained scoreless through the first. The deadlock broke in the second when Lucas Fraser fired the puck home to give Quinte the 1–0 lead. Kingston responded to tie it 1–1 heading into the third. The Gaels scored twice to take a 3–1 lead, but Quinte pushed back with a goal from Blake Unger, assisted by Austin Baily and Pearce McCormick. Quinte pressed for the equalizer, but Kingston held firm to secure the 3–2 win.

On Sunday in Marmora, Quinte used a late scoring blitz to earn a 3–0 shutout win over the Central Ontario Wolves. The game stayed scoreless until the final five minutes when Walker Elrick broke through. Nash White followed quickly, assisted by Pearce McCormick and Blake Unger, before Unger added a shorthanded marker to seal it. Emerson Courtney earned the shutout.
