As February rolls on, the regular season is winding down and playoff intensity is building across the organization. Coaching selections for next season were announced this week, and preparations are already underway for the Year End Banquet on March 30 — a sure sign that another exciting QRD season is nearing its final chapter. With teams locking in playoff positions and others already in post-season action, there is no shortage of storylines across the program.
U10 – Regular Season Closes Strong, Playoffs Begin
The U10 BIHC Quinte Red Devils closed out the regular season with a weekend that showcased both resilience and character.
Saturday against the York-Simcoe Express saw a tight, competitive contest. After battling through a scoreless opening stretch, QRD clawed back to tie the game early in the third before York-Simcoe pulled away late for a 5-2 final.
Sunday in Madoc told a different story. The Red Devils jumped out to a 3-0 lead against the Peterborough Petes, battled through a back-and-forth third period, and with just one minute remaining forced a turnover and buried the game winner to secure a thrilling 6-5 victory.
The Red Devils finish the regular season proudly in 2nd place in the Eastern Lakeshore Division.

U11 – Four Points to Finish Strong (21-7-2)
The U11 Red Devils wrapped up their regular season in style, picking up two home wins and finishing with an impressive 21-7-2 record.
Wednesday in Marmora, Quinte defeated Central Ontario 4-1 behind goals from Valois, Elrick, McCormick, and Baily. Aiden Ferreira earned the win in net.
Sunday saw a hard-fought 5-3 victory over North Shore. Unger, White, May, and McCormick all found the back of the net, while Emerson Courtney shut the door late to secure the win.
The U11s now turn their focus to playoff preparation.
U12 – First Place Secured in OMHA East
The Breakaway Fuels U12 Red Devils officially wrapped up first place in the OMHA East, securing the number one seed heading into playoffs.
While the final week didn’t go exactly as planned — falling 5-2 to North Shore and battling back for a gritty 3-3 tie against Kingston — the group showed determination when it mattered most.
The playoffs now await.

U13 – Three Wins in Four Games
The 417 Bus Line U13 Red Devils had another busy stretch, going 3-1 in four games.
Highlights included:
• 7-2 win over North Shore
• 4-0 shutout victory against York-Simcoe
• 3-2 win over North Shore
The boys continue to build momentum heading toward playoffs.
U14 – Regular Season Wraps with Grit
The Madison Excavating U14 Red Devils closed their regular season with three competitive games, showing resilience throughout.
A hard-earned overtime tie against Peterborough capped the regular season, with Cooper Plumley scoring late to force extra time. Strong goaltending from Hayden Tripp and Ben Larmer kept QRD competitive throughout the week.

U16 – Playoffs Ready After Rare Week Off
The HockeyStickMan U16 Red Devils enjoyed a rare week off to prepare for playoff action.
Playoffs open on Family Day as Barrie comes to town, followed by North Shore and North Central in a packed opening stretch.
All games will stream live on the Poskin Sports Network.
U18 – Playoff Points Earned
The U18 Red Devils opened playoff action with a strong weekend, earning 3 of 4 possible points.
In Barrie, QRD battled back from a 2-0 deficit and forced overtime, picking up a crucial playoff point.
Sunday at home against Peterborough, the Devils responded in emphatic fashion. After falling behind early, goals from Oliver Coyle, Maddox Vespa, and Gavin Parliament powered a 4-2 victory.
The playoff push continues Wednesday night against Central Ontario at the FDC pad.
