QUINTE RED DEVILS REPORT - March 9, 2026
Playoff hockey is in full swing across the organization, with teams competing in multiple games throughout the week as the push toward OMHA Championship Weekend continues. Several QRD squads are gaining momentum at the right time, while others are preparing for key matchups that will determine who advances further in postseason play. The combined Quinte AAA Red Devils record now stands at 221-89-29.

U13 – Back-to-Back Playoff Shutouts

The 417 Bus Line U13 Red Devils continued their dominant playoff run with two road shutout victories, improving their postseason record to 4-0.

Saturday in Orillia, QRD defeated North Central 5-0 with goals from Brown, Nelson, Gilchrist, Norton and Beebe. Blake Laurin recorded the shutout.

Sunday in Pickering, the offense exploded in an 11-0 victory over Ajax-Pickering. Jensen Campbell led the way with four goals, while Thompson added two and Keyes posted the shutout in net.

U14 – Two Tight Playoff Wins

The Madison Excavating U14 Quinte Red Devils earned two hard-fought victories this week.

Wednesday in Peterborough, QRD defeated the Petes 2-1 with goals from Antonio Auciello and Carter Colbourne, while Hayden Tripp delivered a strong performance in net.

Sunday at home against North Shore, the teams battled to overtime before Auciello buried the winner just 16 seconds into the extra frame to secure the 2-1 victory.

U16 – Playoff Run Ends, Championship Weekend Awaits

The HockeyStickMan U16 Red Devils wrapped up their playoff schedule with two impressive victories to finish 7-1 in postseason play and secure the #1 seed from the OMHA East heading into the OMHA Championships.

Tuesday in Oshawa, QRD skated to an 8-1 win over North Shore, led by a pair of goals from Ewan Dahle.

Saturday at home against Kingston, Lauchlan Whelan scored a hat trick in a 5-2 victory to close out the playoff run.

QRD now shifts focus to the OMHA Championships in Peterborough, opening Friday morning against Ajax-Pickering.


U18 – Punch Ticket to OMHA Championships

The Quinte AAA Red Devils U18 squad completed a busy stretch of five games in nine days, finishing the season 3-2 during that span.

In their final regular season matchup, QRD earned a crucial 3-2 victory over Markham to secure a berth at the OMHA Championships in Peterborough.

Congratulations to the entire U18 roster as they prepare to compete for the OMHA title.


U10 – Three Big Playoff Wins

The BIHC U10 Quinte Red Devils collected six playoff points with three strong performances.

Friday in Orillia, QRD defeated North Central 7-4 with strong puck movement and team play.

Saturday in Madoc, the Devils delivered their most dominant performance of the weekend with an 11-0 victory over Markham.

Sunday’s rematch with North Central saw another strong showing as QRD secured a 9-3 win.

U11 – Busy Playoff Week

The U11 Quinte Red Devils played three playoff games this week, finishing 2-1 and improving their playoff record to 3-2.

Wednesday in Marmora, QRD defeated Kingston 4-1 behind two goals from Pearce McCormick and strong goaltending from Aiden Ferreira.

Friday at Delpark, the Devils skated to a commanding 6-1 win over North Shore.

Sunday at home against York-Simcoe, Quinte built an early lead before falling 3-2 in a tightly contested matchup.

U12 – Another Playoff Victory

The Breakaway Fuels U12 Red Devils continued their strong playoff run with a 7-1 victory over the Markham Waxers on Saturday in Belleville.

The Devils scored twice in the first period, added three in the second and two more in the third to earn another playoff win in front of the home crowd. Strong contributions from all three lines, both defensive pairings, and excellent special teams play powered the victory.
