The Bonn Law Quinte Red Devils Minor Peewee Team Get a Win in their First Game of the New Year
The Red Devils kicked off the new year with a 6-1 win over a team from Jekerit, Finland.
On Monday, January 2nd, the Minor Peewee Devils were in Whitby to play in an exhibition game vs Jokerit Red. Wearing Team Canada Jerseys for the game, the boys had a lot of fun on their way to a 6-1 win over the Fins.
Ethan Miedema had a hat trick in the game, while Cal Uens, Ethan Quick and Vincent Bellavance all added single goals. Assisting on the goals was Spencer Cranley (2), Michael Dolton, Jack Lowry and Miedema. Logan Vale and Aidan Crowley shared the goal tending duties in the game.
The Red Devils closed out 2016 with a convincing 9-1 win over the Oshawa Generals in league play on December 21st. Cal Uens scored a hat trick in the game. Ethan Miedema and Vincent Bellavance each scored a pair of goals, while Benjamin Lynch and Christopher Brydges netted singles. Adding assists on the goals was Sidney Wakely (4), Jack Dever (3), Nick Oke (2), Brydges (2), Miedema (2), Will Potts, Jack Lowry, Ethan Quick, Uens and Joey Coates. Aidan Crowley was sharp in net for the win.
The Red Devils have a busy schedule this week, starting with a game in Oshawa on Tuesday January 3rd.
