FOLEY BUS LINERS END SEASON WITH A 3-2 LOSS TO RICHMOND HILL.
The
Foley Bus Lines Peewee Red Devils end the season in a hard-fought battle
against Richmond Hill. On Thursday Mar
16, the Red Devils hosted the Richmond Hill Coyotes at the QSWC in game three
of the OMHA Semi-finals.
It was “do or die” for the Devils as Richmond Hill had already won the first two games in the series. The Devils opened the scoring in the first period as Dalyn Wakely scored on assists from Corbin Roach and Connor Hunt. The Devils held a 1 to 0 lead going into the second frame. In the second, the Richmond Hill Coyotes tied the game with just over 4 minutes left in the period to make it a 1 to 1 game going into the third. The Coyotes opened the third with two quick power play goals to make it a 3 to 1 game. The Devils answered with a goal from Kendrick Webster, assisted by Connor Hunt and Corbin Roach to pull within one. In the final minutes of the game the Devils pressed but just couldn’t put it past the Coyote goalie. Final score was 3 to 2 for the Coyotes as Corbin Votary and Andrew Munro shared the duties in the Devils cage. The Foley Bus Lines Peewee Red Devils would like to thank all the families, fiends and sponsors for their continued support over the 2016-17 season.
