Minor Midget Weekly Report Dec 31- Jan 6
The Minor Midget Free Flow Petroleum team started the new year off with a win.
The team travelled to Kingston to face off against the Frontenacs on Friday evening. After a scoreless first period Ben White sniped a goal with an assist from Erik MacNiel early in the second period. Nathaniel Burelle followed up with another goal shortly thereafter with assists from Zack Brooks and Daniel Michaud. Kingston answered back with two goals later in the second to tie up the game. With the game winding down, late in the third period Michaud scored the game winner from a long stretch pass from MacNiel and Cole Lavender. Ethan Broek netted the fourth point with an assist from Gavin Camp for a final score of 4-2 for QRD. Alex Lucas was goaltending for the victory.
Next game the team will travel to Oshawa Legends Centre on Wednesday January 9th. Puck drops at 8:30pm
