The Free Flow Petroleum Quinte Minor Midgets are battleing hard against the Peterborough Petes in the first round of the OMHA play downs.

This week the team has faced off against Peterborough three times and lead the series 2 games to 1.

Game one gave the Devils home ice advantage as they faced off against the Petes in Napanee on Tuesday night. Determined to tie the series up the Devils travelled to Petes territory on Friday evening.  The game remained 0-0 all through the first, second and into the last second of the third period where the puck found the back of the net for Quinte only to be recalled as the buzzer sounded.  Quinte quickly rallied and Luke LaPalm scored 30 seconds into overtime for a QRD victory.  Final score 1-0.  Ethan Fraser took the win in net.

Less than 24hrs later the two teams were back in Belleville for the third game of the series.  After a scoreless first period the Petes took the lead early in the second.  Quinte answered with five goals in the second to take a decisive lead.  Goals were from Michaud (2), Nathaniel Burelle, Clayton Farrow and Ethan Broek.  Assists credited too, LaPalm (2), Connor Brooks, Cole Lavender (2), Michaud, Hunter Hall, Burelle and Brady Darrach.  The Petes would score twice in the third and Ben White potted an empty netter for a final score of 6-3 for Quinte.  Alex Lucas was the goalie for the night.
