Alliance Spray Foam Insulation Finalists in Buffalo
The Alliance Spray Foam Insulation Minor Atom Red Devils represent the ETA well in Buffalo
The Minor Atom's traveled to Buffalo this past weekend to compete in the Buffalo Jr Sabres Invitational tournament. In game one Friday morning, the Red Devils faced off against the Toronto Red Wings. The Devils got off to a slow start, but managed to prevail 4-2. In Game 2 Friday afternoon, the Alliance Spray Foam Insulation Devils played the Buffalo Jr Sabres. The game was very fast paced, but the Devils were the better team and prevailed 4-2.
Saturday morning, the Devils played Providence, Rhode Island, and built a 4-0 lead heading into the third period. Providence managed 3 power play goals in the 3rd to make it close, but the Devils would win the game 4-3.
In their Final Round Robin Game on Saturday evening, the Devils played the Rochester Coalition. The Devils dominated from start to finish, winning 6-1 and finishing a perfect 4-0 in the round robin.
Sunday morning, the Devils would play fellow ETA opponent, the York Simcoe Express in the Semi Final. The Devils played their best hockey of the weekend, outscoring the Express 11-1. In the Final, the Alliance Spray Foam Insulation Devils would have a rematch versus the team from Providence. The Devils held a 1-0 lead going into the third and would apparently go up 2-0 only to have the goal called back due to a crease violation. Providence tied it up a few minutes later and then would go ahead 2-1 with 7 minutes remaining. Providence would add and insurance goal with 3 minutes to go and would ultimately prevail 3-1. The Coaching Staff was very proud of our level play through out the weekend and look forward to greater things to come!
