Madison Excavating U16 Red Devils win big in London
The QRD U16's win the Wendy Dufton Tournament hosted by the London Junior Knights.

The QRD Madison Excavating U16 Red Devils came out as champions in the Wendy Dufton Tournament in London this Thanksgiving weekend! Quinte lost the first game of the tournament 3-2  to Elgin and wouldn't look back as they dominated the rest of the way avenging their loss to Elgin in the final . They lead the tournament with an impressive 32 goals for and 9 against!

Game 1 was a 3-2 loss to Elgin. Goals by Jared Langdon and Liam Philip assisted by Beckett Ewart, Carson Campbell and Thomas Kuipers. Mike McIvor was in net for the Red Devils.

Game 2 was an 8-1 win verses the Burlington Eagles. Goals by Philip, Liam Storms, Kuipers, Langdon, Brody Partridge, Ethan Toms (2), and Trey Cocek. Assists came from Nolan Donnelly(3), Benjamin Vreugdenhil, Cocek, Reed Gee(2), Braedyn Rogers, Ewart(2), and Glen McInnes. McInnes also handled the goaltending duties.

In game 3 they defeated the Grey-Bruce Highlanders by a score of 7-1. Goals by Ewart, Philip, Donnelly(2), Toms(2) and Jared Wooley. Assists by Cocek, Campbell(3), Kuipers, Vreugdenhil, Toms, Partridge and Butcher. Mike McIvor was in goal.

Game 4 was a 7-2 win against Peterborough. Goals by Rogers(2), Cocek, Donnelly, Partridge, Langdon and Toms. Assists by Donnelly, Langdon, Cocek(2), Ben Danford, Ewart(4), Rogers, Kuipers, Gee(2) and Philip. In the net was Glen McInnes.

Game 5 was a 4-1 victory over the Waterloo Wolves. Goals by Rogers(2), Donnelly and Toms. Assists by Partridge, Langdon(2), Kuipers(2) and Danford(3). Mike McIvor was between the pipes.

Game 6 was a 5-1 win versus the Toronto Titans. Goals by Philip, Storms, Partridge(2) and Toms. Assisted by Ewart, Gee(2), Butcher, Donnelly, Kuipers, Langdon and Danford. In net Glen McInnes.

In Game 7 the Red Devils prevailed 1-0 over Elgin-Middlesex for the rematch and championship! The loan goal was scored by Kuipers assisted by Donnelly and Danford. 

The team has 2 home games on deck this weekend, Richmond Hill Coyotes on Saturday and Markham Waxers on Sunday.
