The Free Flow Petroleum Red Devils Face Off in The International Silver Stick in Whitby
The
Free Flow Petroleum U10 AAA team was in Whitby on the weekend participating in the International Silver Stick, finishing with a record of 1-3.
First up the U10s faced the Elgin Middlesex Canucks on the Thursday afternoon, with Finn Harvey between the pipes. The Canucks led the game 2-0 until the second period, with Beckham Nightingale opening scoring for the Red Devils on a power play. Chipping in with assists on the goal were Austin Baily and Jase Sage. Mason Cooke found the back of the net twice in the 3rd period, with assists from Felix Charbonneau, Walker Elrick and Bentley May. Austin Baily added one more for the Red Devils, ending the game in a tough 5-4 loss.
On Friday afternoon, The Devils met the Halton Hurricanes, with Emerson Courtney in net. A strong 2-way game saw the Devils picking up the win, with a final score of 5-1. Scoring for the U10s were Mason Cooke, Bentley May (3) and Austin Baily. Chipping in with assists were Bentley May, Walker Elrick (2), Bodhi Yearwood, Mason Cooke (2).

Friday night brought a tough loss 8-0 against the Don Mills Flyers.
The Devils faced off against the Mid Fairfield Jr. Rangers early Saturday morning, with Emerson Courtney in net. In a tight back and forth match, the game remained scoreless after one period. Mid Fairfield snuck one by early in the second period, but the Devils battled hard, with the score remaining 0-1 after 2 periods. Despite some good scoring chances, the U10s couldn’t find the back of the net, seeing the game end in a 0-4 loss to a team that would eventually go on to play in the Championship finals.
