The
Free Flow Petroleum U10 Red Devils met up with the Whitby Wildcats in their final regular season game on Monday.
The Red Devils travelled to Whitby on Monday night to face-off against the undefeated Whitby Wildcats in their highly anticipated last regular season match-up. With Emerson Courtney between the pipes, the fast paced game saw a score of 0-0 at the end of the first period. Whitby scored twice early in the second, but the U10’s battled hard with Bentley May finding the back of the net for Quinte before the end of the frame. Bodhi Yearwood chipped in with an assist on the goal. In an exciting moment, another puck found the back of the net but was just beat by the buzzer and was called back, leaving the score 2-1 for Whitby heading into the third period. A couple of penalties in the third found Quinte caught 5 on 3, which ended in another goal for Whitby. The Red Devils were relentless, with Courtney making some great saves in net, but saw the game end in a 4-1 loss.
On Deck: The Free Flow Petroleum U10s are currently holding second place in their division, but await the remaining rescheduled league games to be played this week to determine play-off groupings and schedule.
