This Saturday the U11's put together a solid three periods to beat the Ajax Pickering Raiders 7-2 at the Keeler Centre in Colborne.
Avery Thickson got things rolling just 8s in with assists to Evan VanEgmond and Jayden Stehlik. The Raiders would answer just 40 seconds later to even the score. VanEgmond would get the lead back midway through the first with Charlie Dwyer picking up the assist.
The second period started with Ajax again drawing even early before the young devils would score three unanswered to take a 5-2 lead into the third. Scoring in the second was Kai Mackie from Jackson Simpson and Dwyer, Tripp Plumley from Reid Haley and Kolton Solmes and Ethan Dowling unassisted.
The third period saw the ice remain tilted in the Devils favour and the kids managed two more goals. The first by Simpson from Mackie and Solmes would score an unassisted marker to complete the 7-2 win. Jordan Andrews picked up the win in net and Evan VanEgmond took home the Devil's Fork for player of the game.
On Deck sees the U11 team host the Central Ontario Wild Saturday at 1pm again at the Keeler in Colborne before they head to Peterborough Sunday for an evening game against the Petes.
