The Quinte U11 Red Devils had a solid playoff weekend picking up two big wins to secure another four points.
On Saturday the U11 Red Devils hosted the Whitby Wildcats at the Keeler Centre in Colborne. This one was as a fantastic game from start to finish. Both teams had their chances and were strong in all zones of the ice. The Red Devils finally snuck one in with less than 9 minutes to go in the third when Kai Mackie found the back of the net. Assists went to Silas Templar and Jackson Simpson. The Devils would buckle down and hold on for a slim 1-0 win. Deacon Vos picked up the shutout in net and the player of the game fork.
On Sunday the Breakaway Fuels boys headed north to Orillia for a game against the North Central Predators. This one was all Quinte from start to finish and it ended with a convincing 11-1 win. Every forward and several defensemen had points in this one. Jordan Andrews grabbed the win in net and along with the entire forward group took home player of the game honours.
On Deck: The U11's head to Markham on Saturday before hosting North Central at the CAA arena on Sunday at 1:30.
