October 18, 2025 vs. York Simcoe Express
Successful Weekend for the Belleville Integrative Health Center U10 Quinte Red Devils. Saturday’s matchup at St. Andrew’s College saw the BIHC U10 Quinte Red Devils face off against the York Simcoe Express.
The game started off as a slow burn for the BIHC U10 QRD
squad. Despite an early power play, QRD couldn’t find the back of the net, and the Express
took advantage late in the first, sneaking in two goals. Down 2–0 heading into the second, QRD
needed a spark.
They found it — and then some. Minutes into the second, QRD buried their first goal, followed
by 2 more and then added a shorthanded beauty that had everyone double-checking the
scoreboard. The second period saw the PK put to the test, running on pure grit and blocked
shots, while QRD’s goalie was locked in like a vault. By the end of the second, QRD had flipped
the script entirely, leading 6–1 and leaving the Express in their rearview mirror.
The third period saw QRD muscle in goal number seven before unleashing a “clapper” that
capped off their scoring spree at eight. The Express managed to sneak in two late goals, but it
was too little, too late.
When the final buzzer sounded, it was BIHC U10 QRD 8, York Simcoe Express 3 — a
statement victory powered by hustle, and a whole lot of lamp-lighting.
