November 2, 2025 vs. York Simcoe Express
Quiet Week, Strong Finish for BIHC U10 Quinte Red Devils
It was a relatively quiet week for the BIHC U10 Quinte Red Devils, with just one game
on the schedule. After a couple of busy days filled with trick-or-treating, cheering on the
Blue Jays, and smiling for picture day, the team hit the ice Sunday for a matchup
against the York Simcoe Express.
The game opened with fast-paced, back-and-forth action, as both teams created
scoring chances they couldn’t quite convert. Late in the first period, York Simcoe broke
through to take a 1–0 lead, putting QRD on the chase heading into the second.
What followed was a hard-fought battle marked by strong end-to-end play. Between the
second and third periods, QRD regrouped, tightening up defensively and finding their
offensive rhythm. They came out firing in the final period of play, lighting up the
scoreboard with five unanswered goals to secure an impressive 5–1 comeback victory.
The Belleville Integrative Health Center U10 QRD will look to carry that momentum into
next weekend as they host a pair of home games against the Barrie Jr. Colts.
Saturday’s matchup takes place on the Mackay Pad at the Quinte Wellness Centre at
12:30 p.m., followed by a Sunday rematch at 2:00 p.m. at the Madoc Recreation Centre.
