November 8/9 Weekend Recap vs. Barrie Jr Colts
Two games, two wins, and a whole lot of heart from the Belleville Integrative Health Centre U10 Quinte Red Devils
Game 1:
Quinte Red Devils 4, Barrie Jr. Colts 2
QRD opened the scoring in the first and held strong with solid defense and goaltending. A key turnover led to a second-period goal for a 2–0 lead. Barrie fought back in the third to make it 2–1, but QRD quickly responded to go up 3–1. After Barrie closed the gap again, the Red Devils sealed the game with a late goal off a turnover for a 4–2 win.
Game 2:
Quinte Red Devils 6, Barrie Jr. Colts 5
Barrie took an early lead, but QRD tied it late in the first. The Red Devils grabbed control in the second, going up 4–2 before Barrie battled back to 4–3. In a wild third, Barrie surged ahead 5–4, but QRD dug deep to tie it 5–5, then buried a backhand on the power play to regain the lead. A strong penalty kill in the final minute secured a thrilling 6–5 victory and weekend sweep.
On deck: The boys hit the road and head up North to meet the North Central Predators on November 14th at 7pm at the Mask Arena, then we will have another rematch with the Barrie Jr. Colts on their home ice on Saturday November 15th at 2pm at the Innisfil Recreation Centre. Sunday November 16th, we face the Wolves again at 1pm at the Mask Arena. Let's go boys!!
