Saturday’s matchup brought together two
undefeated teams for a highly anticipated battle: QRD versus the Whitby Wildcats.

The game opened at a fast pace with plenty of back-and-forth action. The first period
was a tough, hard-fought battle with no goals but lots of intensity from both sides. A few
minutes into the second, Whitby struck first to net the opening goal. They continued to
apply pressure and capitalized on their chances. QRD’s lone goal came from a gritty
scramble in front of Whitby’s net.
Despite the final score—a 5–1 loss—QRD showed strong stretches of play,
determination, and hard work throughout the game.
With that behind them, it was time to reset, refocus, and prepare for Game Two on
Sunday against the Markham Waxers.

Sunday’s game started fast, with the Waxers opening the scoring early in the first
period. QRD responded with teamwork, hustle, and heart, shifting the momentum firmly
in their favour. From that point on, the game belonged to QRD. Strong puck movement
and excellent teamwork powered the group to a 7–2 win, evening out the weekend with
one loss and one win.

Now it’s back to work as the U10 Belleville Integrative Health Center QRD squad
gears up for another big weekend—hitting the road Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. matchup in
Woodville against the Central Ontario Wolves, then returning home Sunday to Madoc
for a 2:00 p.m. battle with the North Central Predators.
See you at the rink!
