QRD Opens Taylor Hall Classic with 3–1 Win Over Rideau
The U10 Belleville Integrative Health Center Quinte Red Devils opened the Taylor Hall Classic
with a hard-fought victory against Rideau on Friday. The first period got off to a quiet start on the
scoreboard, as both teams’ goaltenders delivered stellar saves to keep the game scoreless.
Despite penalty challenges in the second and third periods, QRD stayed disciplined, regained
the lead after Rideau’s equalizer, and secured the win with an empty-net goal.
QRD Holds Strong to Defeat Nepean 2–1 in Game 2
The U10 BIHC Quinte Red Devils opened the scoring in the first period with strong passing and
sustained puck possession, supported by an excellent goaltending performance. Both teams
battled through penalty kills, keeping the game tight. QRD generated numerous scoring
chances in the second period and carried a 2–1 lead into the third. Despite pressure from a
surging Nepean team and continued penalty challenges, QRD remained composed and worked
together to secure a hard-earned 2–1 victory.
QRD Dominates Grey Bruce Highlanders7–2 in Saturday Game 1
The Quinte Red Devils faced early adversity against Grey Bruce, battling penalty trouble in the
first period, but still managed to build a two-goal lead heading into the second. QRD took full
control in the middle frame, exploding for four unanswered goals to close the second period with
a commanding 6–0 advantage.
Grey Bruce opened the third with two early goals in an attempt to spark a comeback, but QRD
remained composed. The team dug in defensively, successfully killed off additional penalties,
and capped off the game with a highlight-reel goal late in the third.
Hard-Fought Battle Ends in Tie for QRD Against Gloucester Rangers Green
The Quinte Red Devils were locked in a hard-fought contest against the Gloucester Rangers
Green, featuring end-to-end action and strong effort from both teams. With momentum swinging
back and forth throughout the game, neither side was able to pull ahead, and the matchup
ultimately ended in a tie.
QRD Falls to London in Overtime in U10 Semi-Final
An early Sunday morning semi-final saw the BIHC U10 Quinte Red Devils give their all against
London. Despite strong effort and determination, QRD was unable to secure the win in
regulation. The game extended into overtime, where London ultimately prevailed, bringing the
weekend to a close for the Quinte Red Devils.
Next up: Back to practice to prepare to hit the road and head east to face the Greater Kingston
