January 24 -25 vs. Gaels & York Simcoe
Frigid Saturday, Snowy Sunday: The BIHC U10 Quinte Red Devils Look Ahead toNext Road Test
Snowy weather made for a challenging week of preparation for the U10 Belleville
Integrative Health Center Quinte Red Devils. Practice cancellations and frigid
temperatures limited ice time, but the team pushed ahead and hit the road Saturday to
face the Kingston Jr. Gaels.
Both teams came out ready to compete, delivering an entertaining matchup marked by
end-to-end action and no shortage of dazzling glove saves from both goaltenders. The
first two periods remained tightly contested, with momentum swinging back and forth.
In the third period, the Jr. Gaels found their stride, taking control of the game and pulling
away on the scoreboard. Despite a determined effort from the Red Devils, the Jr Gaels
sealed the contest with a 6–3 victory on home ice.
The threat of a record-breaking snowfall on Sunday led to the cancellation of the Red
Devils scheduled game against the York Simcoe Express. With another weather hurdle
behind them, the focus now shifts back to practice as the team prepares to hit the road
again. The U10 BIHC Red Devils will face the Ajax-Pickering Raiders on Saturday,
January 31, with puck drop set for 12:30 p.m.
See you at the rink!
