February 7-8 vs. White Caps & Gaels
Frosty Weekend Fuels the QRD Fire
The Belleville Integrative Health Center U10 Quinte Red Devils braved the frigidly cold
temperatures all weekend but brought plenty of heat on the ice with two hard-fought
games.
On Saturday the BIHC Red Devils hit the road to face the North Shore White Caps and
delivered an impressive 7-2 victory. Strong passing, relentless hustle and team-first play
powered QRD to the win, as they controlled the pace and capitalized on their scoring
chances.
Sundays home game at the Madoc barn against the Kingston Jr Gaels was a much
tighter battle. After falling behind 4-0, QRD refused to quit. Through continued hustle,
crisp passing and strong teamwork, QRD clawed their way back to tie the game late.
Despite several last-minute opportunities to force over time, Kingston scored in the
dying minutes of the third period to take the victory 5-4.
The weekend showcased BIHC QRD’s resilience, skill and determination, even in the
coldest conditions.
On Deck: the BIHC U10 Quinte Red Devils are back home at the Madoc barn for a two
game set, looking to build on the momentum and lessons learned from a gritty weekend
on the ice.
