The U11 Quinte Red Devils split their weekend schedule, earning a win alongside a tough loss in league play.
On Saturday, November 15th, the U11 Quinte Red Devils came from behind to defeat the Ajax-Pickering Raiders 5-2 in Ajax. Despite trailing 1-0 after the first period, the Red Devils battled back, with Aiden Ferreira between the pipes. Quinte tied the game 2-2 in the second period with goals from Mason Cooke and Ryker Valois. Assists went to Elrick, McCormick, and Withers. The Red Devils sealed the victory in the third period with three unanswered goals by Cooney, Cooke, and McCormick. McCormick and Elrick registered the assists, securing the 5-2 final score.
On Sunday, The U11 Quinte Red Devils took a 5-1 loss against the Barrie Jr. Colts on home ice in Marmora. With Emerson Courtney in net, Quinte’s offense couldn’t generate points, with the lone goal for the Red Devils coming off the stick of Pearce McCormick, with an assist credited to Jaxson Withers.
