U11 Quinte Red Devils Split Weekend Matches
The Quinte Red Devils U11 team experienced the highs and lows of the regular season this past weekend, falling short in a defensive battle on Saturday before rallying for a win on Sunday.

The U11 Red Devils traveled to Whitby on Saturday for their first regular-season clash against the Wildcats. It was a tight, back-and-forth game dominated by strong defensive play and solid goaltending by both teams. Aiden Ferreira stood tall in the Quinte net, to keep the Red Devils within striking distance throughout the game. However the Quinte offense could not find the back of the net, ultimately falling 2-0 to the Wildcats.

The team regrouped on Sunday, meeting the North Shore Whitecaps in Madoc. Quinte struck first with a goal by Withers, assisted by Elrick, to see the score 1-0 heading into the second period. When North Shore tied the game with a power play goal, the Red Devils quickly responded, with White finding the back of the net, assisted by Unger. Unger scored Quinte’s 3rd goal, assisted by May early in the third. Some penalty trouble saw the Whitecaps score a second power play goal, but it wasn’t enough with the score 3-2 at the final buzzer. Emerson Courtney picked up the win in net as the U11s look to build on Sunday's performance as they continue their regular season schedule.

On Deck: The U11s head to Peterborough to face the Petes on Saturday, November 29th (1:15pm) and return home Sunday, November 30th for their first regular season match-up against the Markham Waxers (12:30, Marmora CC).
