U11 Red Devils Secure Two Wins in Hard-Fought Week
The U11 Quinte Red Devils had a busy and productive week on the ice, skating away with a 2-1 record over three games. From home-ice victories to a tough road battle, the team showed resilience and heart as they head into the final stretch of the 2025 regular season.

The week kicked off on Wednesday, December 17th, as the Red Devils hosted the Peterborough Petes in Marmora, in a game sponsored by the Power Workers Union. Emerson Courtney stood tall in net to lead the team to a 6-3 victory. Mason Cooke opened the scoring late in the frame (assisted by Elrick and Withers), though the Petes managed to tie it up before the buzzer. Despite penalty trouble, Quinte took control with a three-goal surge from Nash White and Walker Elrick (2). Key assists were provided by Unger, Kolga, May, and Fraser. The Petes struck twice in the third but Quinte stayed composed. Goals from May (assisted by Unger) and an unassisted marker by Unger sealed the win.

On Saturday, December 21st, the Devils traveled to St. Andrew's College for their first season match-up against the York Simcoe Express. Aiden Ferreira had the start in goal for this highly anticipated clash. While Quinte generated plenty of scoring chances, the puck didn’t bounce their way, resulting in a 5-2 loss. Austin Baily put Quinte on the board in the first (assisted by Pearce McCormick), and Blake Unger added another in the second. Thank you to our game day sponsor, Trenton Diagnostics for their support this season!

The Devils returned to Marmora on Sunday for a match against the Kingston Jr. Gaels, a home game sponsored by Gogi Korean Grill. In a back-and-forth game, Quinte emerged with a 5-3 win. The scoring was well-distributed throughout the lineup: Nash White (from Unger and Cooney), Austin Baily (from McCormick and Kolga), Walker Elrick (from Lalonde), Pearce McCormick (from Baily), Mason Cooke (from Elrick). Beyond the scoreboard, the Red Devils were proud to host a successful donation drive. The team extends a sincere thank you to The Jr. Gaels for their generous contributions to the Quinte Humane Society.

On Deck:  The Red Devils have one final regular-season hurdle before the holiday break on Tuesday, Dec 23rd @ 7:15 PM vs. North Shore Whitecaps (Campus Ice). Following the season finale, the team will pack their bags for Ottawa to compete in the Bell Capital Cup Tournament from December 28th to 30th. Good luck, Devils!
