It was a weekend of high-stakes hockey for the Quinte Red Devils U11 squad as they secured back-to-back wins in impressive fashion, picking up 4 points and improving their regular season record to 17-5-2.
The Quinte Red Devils U11 team showcased both a dominant offensive and defensive performance on Saturday, January 10th, defeating the York Simcoe Express 6-1 at St. Andrew’s College. Goals for Quinte scored by White (2), Cooke, McCormick, Elrick and Valois. Chipping in with assists were Withers (2), Cooke (2), White, Elrick, Unger, Valois, May and Lalonde. On Sunday, The U11 Quinte Red Devils handed the Whitby Wildcats their first regular-season loss in Marmora with a thrilling 2-1 victory. It was a complete team effort anchored by goaltender Aiden Ferreira, whose clutch saves preserved the team’s narrow lead. Quinte’s offense was led by goals from Jaxson Withers and Bentley May, with assists provided by Lalonde, Cooney, White, and Kolga.
On Deck: The U11s travel to Buffalo next weekend to take part in the The Cup Tournament, with round robin matches on Friday, January 16th against The Providence Capitals (1:30pm) and Ohio Blue Jackets (6:30pm). On Saturday, January 17th they face The Wolfpack Hockey Club (12:30pm) and Casco Bay Mariners Elite (5:45pm).
