Tough Weekend for the U11s
The U11 Quinte Red Devils faced a challenging weekend of play-off action, dropping two contests against the Markham Waxers and Peterborough Jr. Petes.

On Saturday, the Devils traveled to face the Markham Waxers. With Emerson Courtney in net, Quinte dominated early, building a 4-2 lead by the third period. Pearce McCormick led the charge with two goals and an assist, while Mason Cooke and Bentley May also found the back of the net. Assists were provided by May and Lalonde. However, Markham mounted a third-period comeback to tie the game 4-4, eventually clinching a 5-4 victory just 45 seconds into overtime.

The Devils returned home to Marmora on Sunday to host the Peterborough Jr. Petes. Goaltender Aiden Ferreira kept the game scoreless through the first, but the Petes broke through in the second. Lucas Fraser gave Quinte hope late in the second period, scoring on a feed from Ryker Valois to make it 2-1. Despite the push, Peterborough added two more in the final frame to hand the Devils a 4-1 loss.
