U12's Lose in Semifinals
This weekend the Breakaway Fuels U12 Red Devils headed to Toronto to take part in the Junior Canadiens Cup featuring top level talent from Ontario and the US

The young devils had a strong showing through the round robin portion going 4-0 with scores of 5-0 against Detroit Honeybaked, 4-3 versus the Cambridge Hawks, 10-0 against the Red Bank Generals and 5-4 over the Chicago Reapers.
The perfect round robin record got them a bye straight to the Semis on Sunday to face the Ohio Blue Jackets. This was a fast paced game but the Devils found themselves in a 4-0 hole early in the second.  Showing some great heart and a never give up attitude the Breakaway Boys battled back to make it 4-3 before a powerplay goal would make it 5-3 midway through the third.  With the goalie out late in the third Quinte would again bring the score to within one.  Despite a hectic last minute flurry the young devils could not bury the tying goal and bowed out with a 5-4 loss.

Next weekend the U12's return to league play with games against Whitby on the road on Saturday and home against Peterborough on Sunday in Campbellford at 1pm.
