The Breakway Fuels U12 Red Devils made the snowy drive Sunday to Clarington to face the North Shore Whitecaps. This one featured two of the league's top teams and it did not disappoint.
Smith Pilon would open the scoring with just 1 second left in the first after some shifty moves to find a shooting lane to the net. North Shore would even the game with a powerplay goal midway through the second and set the stage for an exciting third period. The Devils decided to take things over and scored four unanswered in the third to walk away with a 5-1 victory. Scoring in the third was Kai Mackie, Wade Robinson, Jayden Stehlik, and Reid Haley, Assists went to Kolton Solmes, Tripp Plumley(2), Ryder Bradford and Ethan Dowling. Deacon Vos picked up the win with a solid game in net.
Next week the team has two home games. They play the Central Ontario Wolves on Saturday at the Mackay at 2pm and then face the Whitby Wildcats at 1pm on Sunday in Campbellford.
