The Breakaway Fuels U 12 Red Devils had two home games this weekend and took home 3 of a possible 4 points.
Saturday saw the young devils host the Central Ontario Wolves at the Mackay Pad. Tripp Plumley got the scoring started on the first shift of the game banging in a loose puck from the slot. Kolton Solmes would pick up the helper. Central would even the game in the second period and Jared Russell would score the winner for the Devils in the third with Charlie Dwyer getting the assist. Jordan Andrews stood tall in net to grab the Win.
On Sunday the Breakaway Fuels Boys hosted the Whitby Wildcats in Campbellford. This game was scoreless through the first. The Wildcats would score first in this one before the devils would score two goals in eighty seconds to grab the lead. Jackson Simpson would score from Kai Mackie and Avery Thickson and then Mackie would find the back of the net with Simpson getting the assist. The rest of the game was a tight checking affair and the Wildcats would have a seeing eye puck find the back of the net to tie the game with under four minutes to play. Despite a late flurry the game would end a tie. Deacon Vos made some big glove saves to preserve the tie.
Next week the Breakaway Fuels U12's head to Ajax on Saturday and then they host the North Central Predators in Marmora on Sunday.
