Breakaway Fuels U12's Head Into Christmas With Two Wins
The Quinte U12 Red Devils grabbed four points this weekend in two hard fought battles, both coming down to the wire.

On Saturday the young devils headed to St Andrews College to face the pesky York Simcoe Express.  This one was back and forth with several lead changes throughout and the teams deadlocked at 2 heading into the third period.  Kai Mackie would give the devils the lead finishing a nice pass from Jackson Simpson.  The Express would even the score again three minutes later before Tripp Plumley would reply with the go ahead goal on a beautiful pass from Evan VanEgmond.  Jackson Simpson would put the final nail in the coffin with a late goal to give the boys a 5-3 win on the road.  Jordan Andrews would grab the win in net.
Sunday saw the Breakaway Boys home in Campbellford against the Greater Kingston Jr Gaels.  The kids came out buzzing and opened up a 4-0 lead on goals from Plumley(3) and Mackie.  Assists went to Jayden Stehlik, Van Egmond, Kolton Solmes(2), Jared Russell, Ethan Dowling and Avery Thickson.  Luckily they scored early as the Jr Gaels would not quit and battled back to make it 4-3 game but the Devils held on at the end to get the win.  Deacon Vos picked up the win in net.

On Deck:  Christmas break and then off to Ottawa for the Bell Capital Cup December 28-30
