The Breakaway Fuels U12 Red Devils won their only game this weekend with a strong team effort against the third place North Shore Whitecaps.
The game was a tight end to end game in the first until Kolton Solmes broke the deadlock by burying a rebound with assists going to Jayden Stehlik and Tripp Plumley. The trio would strike again early in the second to extend the lead. Evan VanEgmond would make it 3-0 when he finsihed off a nice passing play by Smith Pilon and Ethan Dowling. Stehlik from Plumley and Solmes would make it 4-0 before the end of the second. Silas Templar would unleash a point shot mid third that found the back of the net with Pilon and Avery Thickson picking up the helpers. North Shore would sneak one in with three minutes left to break the shutout attempt by Deacon Vos. The young devils then shut things down and left Campbellford with a convincing 5-1 win.
On Deck: The Breakaway Fuels Boys head south of the border to take part in the AAA Cup in Buffalo next weekend.
