U12 Red Devils Wrap Up Home Games With a Win
The Breakaway Fuels U12 Devils played a road game Saturday before playing their last home game of the regular season in Campbellford on Sunday.

Saturday saw the young devils head to Ajax to play the pesky Raiders.  As always the Raiders came to play and the first period was a hard fought battle with Quinte scoring the lone goal with four minutes left in the frame.  They would score two more in each of the second and third periods to walk away with a convincing 5-0 win.  Jordan Andrews stood tall in the pipes to earn the shutout.  Scoring for the Devils was Kolton Solmes, Jayden Stehlik(2), Kai Mackie and Jackson Simpson.  Assists for the day went to Ethan Dowling(2) Stehlik, Tripp Plumley and Jared Russell.

On Sunday the Breakaway Fuels Boys hosted the Peterborough Petes in Campbellford.  This one was scoreless through the first.  Plumley would find the back of the net early in the second from Solmes.  Peterborough would tie it with three minutes left in the period before Jackson Simpson made a beautiful pass to Kai Mackie to restore the lead with just 55 seconds remaining.  The Devils would stretch the lead in the third when Plumly and Solmes hooked up again.  After a PP goal for the Petes made it 3-2 the boys buckled down and finished the game with a big defensive effort in the last seconds with Deacon Vos holding down the fort in net.
