The U12 Red Devils wrapped up their 8 game playoffs with two wins this weekend to finish with a 7-1 record.
The young devils headed north this weekend to take on the Barrie Colts and North Central Predators. On Saturday they faced the Colts and this game was as advertised with the 1 vs 2 seeds in the East squaring off. The first period was dominated by the Devils but they could not solve the Colts goalie and saw the period end 0-0. Just 29 seconds into the second period the Devils would take the lead. Colts would tie it before the Devils would score late in the period to take a 2-1 lead into the third. Once again the Colts would tie the game but then the Breakaway boys took over and scored three unanswered to win 5-2.
On Sunday they headed to Rama to take on the Predators. Once again the first period would end scoreless despite the ice being tilted in favour of Quinte. After several high quality chances the young Devils finally bulged the twine twice in the middle frame before scoring another 4 in the third to head home with a convincing 6-0 win.
