Wednesday night saw a rescheduled trip to Ajax to take on the Raiders with the winner having the inside track to a top 2 position in the standings . The Raiders would strike first and take a 1-0 lead into the second period. Coen Lowry gained an offensive zone entry finding Andrew Laurin behind the net, who then found Trent Clow all alone in front. Clow made no mistake to even the score setting up a tense third period. Ajax would strike first in the third, but QRD would not be denied. From the corner, Lauchlan Whelan found Cooper Poskin for a point blast that Laurin smartly tipped home to level the score. With 5 seconds left Lawson Minifie hit Poskin for another point shot and Jax Martin was left all alone at the side of the net to bang home the rebound and seal a 3-2 victory for the Devils. Friday night saw the second of the season series with Kingston and a dominant 5-1 victory for the Devils. Andrew Laurin lead the way with a hat trick plus an assist. Trent Clow and Lawson Minifie added the other markers. Coen Lowry (1A), Kallum Phillips (1A), Jax Martin (1A) and Austin Preston (1A) found the scoresheet as well.

Saturday afternoon saw another tense affair as the team  travelled to Scugog to take on COW. The squad jumped out to a 2-0 lead with Ewan Dahle rifling home a Lawson Minifie feed and Kallum Phillips forcing a turnover deep in the QRD end that Austin Ottenhof took the length of the ice and wired home. COW found find the back of the net once in the second and again in the third to even the score and the teams headed off to some bonus hockey. All three players on the ice would factor in the winner as Cooper Poskin hit Andrew Laurin up the wall who then slid it to Lauchlan Whelan who smartly beat the last COW defender and buried the OT winner. The 6 point week allowed the team to settle into second in the standings heading into the final 3 games of the regular season. 
 
Kingston comes to town on Thursday night for an 8:30 puck drop on the Mackay pad. Saturday and Sunday see the OMHA Showcase weekend taking place at Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre. QRD takes on York Simcoe at 11:30 on Saturday and the Barrie Colts at 10:30 on Sunday in what should be a tight battle for the final 4 points of the season. Both games are on the Mackay pad and all of this weeks action will be available for streaming on the Poskin Sports Network on YouTube.
 
The Showcase weekend will be a great opportunity to see all of the skill form the OMHA East on display at the Wellness Centre. All of the OMHA East will be participating in 2 games each on either the FDC or Mackay pads over the weekend. The full slate of games is available on the OMHA website.
