U18 Quinte Red Devils Split Weekend at Home, Earn OT Win on Sunday
The U18 Quinte Red Devils battled through a competitive two-game weekend on home ice, dropping Saturday’s contest before responding with a determined overtime victory on Sunday to close out their homestand on a high note.
On Saturday, Quinte faced a skilled Barrie Colts squad and came up short in a 7–3 decision. Wyatt Albright, Oliver Coyle, and Maclean Chisholm provided the offense, while Maddox Vespa and Pierson Clute earned assists in the effort.
Determined to bounce back, the Red Devils returned to the ice on Sunday against the Whitby Wildcats and delivered a much stronger performance. Maddox Vespa and Owen Rivers scored in regulation to set the stage for a dramatic finish. In overtime, Maclean Chisholm buried the game-winner, securing a 3–2 victory for Quinte. Helpers on the night came from Ryan Babbs, Dan Foster, Noah Lesser, Jaden Leach, and Liam Grant, while steady team play at both ends of the ice helped lock down the win.
The U18s will now turn their attention to next weekend, as they hit the road for matchups in Barrie and North Central.
