The 417 Bus Line U11 Red Devils Go Three for Three and Hold a Food Drive
This past week the U11s won all three of their games, picking up six points and improved their league record to 18-0. The team also hosted a food drive where they collected 336lbs of food for the Cobourg Food Bank.
Thursday it was a home game in Baltimore vs the Oshawa Generals. Quinte won the game by a score of 9-1. Scoring for the Red Devils was Max Norton (2), Kash Nelson (2), Will Beebe (2), Noah Gilchrist, Jaxon Elrick and Cohen Reid. Picking up assists were Beebe (3), Reid (2), Nelson (2), Evan Andrews (2), Graydon Tucker and Ryker Thompson. Lily Groeneveld was in net for the win and Norton was named Devil of The Day.
Saturday the team travelled to Barrie to take on the Colts. The Red Devils won by a score of 13-1. Scoring for Quinte was Evan Andrews (4), Noah Gilchrist (3), Graydon Tucker (2), Cohen Reid (2), Will Beebe and Max Norton. Picking up assists was Gilchrist (4), Kash Nelson (2), Norton, Linden Ludolph, Beebe, Tucker, Andrews, Reid, Sebastien Smit and Mac Brown. Blake Laurin was in net for the win and Gilchrist was the Devil of The Day.
Sunday the team was once again on the road, as they played the York-Simcoe Express in Aurora at St.Andrew’s College. Quinte came out on top with a 7-3 win. Scoring for the Red Devils was Max Norton (2), Mac Brown, Evan Andrews, Kash Nelson, Cohen Reid and Noah Gilchrist. Picking up assists were Andrews (4), Gilchrist (2), Norton, Nelson, Reid, Linden Ludolph, Brayden Straughan, Matt Dawson and Ryker Thompson. Lily Groeneveld was in net for the win and Malkin Courtney was the Devil of The Day.
ON DECK: The 417 Bus Line U11 Red Devils have a home game at the QSWC (CAA) on Wednesday at 5:30pm vs the Kingston Jr. Gaels and head to Woodville on Saturday to take on the Central Ontario Wolves.

U15s Split Showcase Games
The Quinte U15 E-360 Solutions Red Devils split a pair of games at the U15 Showcase this weekend in Whitby.

4-0 Loss vs Niagara North Stars
Penalty trouble proved costly as the QRD squad simply could not stay out of the box and could not catch any breaks despite controlling stretches of 5 on 5 play throughout the game.

The Gillespie's Tree Service U14 Quinte Red Devils had a busy week with one regular season game and 2 matchups for the OMHA Crossover weekend.
The week kicked off Tuesday night in Trenton for a matchup against the Peterborough Petes which ended in a 5-3 win for the Devils. Goals came from Clow (2), Seguin (2) and Whelan, with assists coming from Seguin (2), Dahle (2), Harold (2), B. Aird (2), Dewar and Aird. Gayle got the win between the pipes.
To kick off the Crossover weekend Quinte faced off against the Halton Hurricanes where they had a very strong performance, winning 6-0. Goals came from Whelan (2), Dahle (2), Clow and Seguin with helpers from Dahle (3), Seguin (2), Kennedy (2), Clow, Fisher, Beebe and Minifie. Ferriss got the shutout in net.
To cap off the weekend the Devils played against the top team from the OMHA West, Niagara North which resulted in a 6-2 Devils win. Goals came from 6 different players, Seguin, Jones, Beebe, Peeters, Laurin and Whelan. Assists came from Peeters (2), B. Aird, Harold, Beebe, Jones, Dahle, Clow and Laurin. Jacob Gayle was in net for this match up.
ON DECK: After a 3-0 weekend the Devils wrap up the regular season play before Christmas with games against Oshawa and Ajax this weekend.

This past Saturday, the Madison Excavating U12 Quinte Red Devils found themselves in Peterborough amidst an intense matchup with the Peterborough Petes. The action unfolded with the Petes capitalizing on a powerplay opportunity just five minutes into the game, taking an early lead. The second period was a defensive standoff; both teams played hard, and the scoreboard remained unchanged. Tensions mounted into the third period, and the Devils came roaring back. Just two minutes into the final frame, QRD netted a crucial goal, evening the score at one apiece. QRD pressured hard during the final frame, however, the team was unable to get the go-ahead goal, and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
On home ice in Belleville on Sunday, the Quinte Red Devils faced off against the Markham Waxers. In the tightly fought battle, the lone goal of the game proved to be the deciding factor. The Devils found the back of the net late in the first period, setting the tone for the match. Despite the fierce competition and efforts from both teams, the remainder of the game saw no further goals. The Devils emerged victorious, with a 1-0 win, their earlier goal proving to be the game-winner.
Coach’s Corner with Head Coach, Evan Osterhout: “The flu bug inevitably caught up to some of the players this week. The team managed to fight through it together, showing resilience and fearlessness, and ultimately gaining three out of a possible four points.”

U10s Take 7 of 8 Points This Week
The Breakaway Fuels boys faced a busy week before their Christmas Break having 4 games in 5 days. The week started with a Wednesday night tilt against the Kingston Junior Gaels. The first period was a tight-checking 10 minutes and the Gaels had the edge 1-0 heading to the second. The next 15mins was all Quinte with the kids putting up 3 goals by Greyson Rennie, Ethan Dowling and Tripp Plumley. Assists went to Kai Mackie and Reid Haley. The Gaels wouldn’t go away and scored early in the third to make it 3-2. Dowling put the Devils back up by 2 at the halfway mark of the third with assist to McKinley Gunning. Avery Thickson would stretch the lead to three before the Gaels scored a late one. Final score was 5-3. Deacon Vos picked up the win in net.
Saturday saw the young Devils face the Whitby Wildcats in Colborne. This one turned out to be a goaltending battle with both goalies making some highlight reel saves and the teams battled hard for 40mins and ended with a 1-1 tie. Scoring for the Devils was Reid Haley from Tripp Plumley. Jordan Andrews was solid throughout between the pipes.
Sunday saw the Breakaway Fuels kids hit the road for two games. First up was a stop in Ajax to face the Raiders. This one was dominated by Quinte and ended in a 6-1 final score. Kai Mackie led the way with a hat trick. Other goal scorers were Thickson, Rennie and Dowling. Assists went to Gunning and Haley. Vos grabbed his second win of the week in net.
The second game of the day was an evening game in Lindsay against the Central Ontario Wolves. This was a fast, well played game by both teams. After the first two periods the score was deadlocked at 2. Scoring for the Devils was Dowling from Renning and Jackson Simpson from Evan VanEgmond and Ryder Bradford. The third period saw the Devils take control and put two more on the board by Kolton Solmes and Mackie to take the game 4-2. Andrews picked up the win to finish a busy but successful week.
ON DECK: The boys get a much deserved Christmas break and do not see game action again until January 2nd in Peterborough.
