The Bonn Law Quinte Red Devils Minor Peewee Team are Tournament Champs!
The Bonn Law Quinte Red Devils Minor Peewee team travelled to the Nation’s Capital this weekend, to participate in the14th annual September AAA Shootout. 

First up for the Red Devils was a game with The Kanata Blazers.The Devils were down by a pair of goals late in the third period, despite heavily outshooting the Blazers. The team battled hard and popped two quick ones to tie the game 2-2. Scoring for the Devils was Ethan Miedema and Benjamin Lynch. Nick Oke picked up an assist in the game. Aidan Crowley earned the win between the pipes.

Next up on Friday was a game against the Nepean Raiders. The Devils continued to put forth a great effort, where they carried the majority of the play, earning a 3-2 win in the game. Scoring for the Devils was Cal Uens, Miedema and Lynch. Adding helpers on the goals was Spencer Cranley, Will Potts and Vincent Bellavance. Logan Vale got the win in net.

Game three was set for Saturday against the Cumberland Grads. Once again, the team improved on their last game and skated to a 4-2 victory over the Grads. Lighting the lamp for the Devils in the game was Uens, Miedema, Bellavance and Cranley. Chipping in with helpers on the goals was Jack Lowry, Duncan Schneider, Christopher Brydges, Lynch and Oke. Crowley earned the win in net for his team.  In their final game of the round robin, the Devils faced the Ottawa Sting. The Devils couldn’t seem to find a consistent stride in the game and fell 5-4 to the Sting. Scoring the goals in the game was Will Potts, Ethan Quick, Brydges and Cranley. Quick, Jack Dever, Cranley (2), and Uens all added assists. Vale and Crowley split the duties between the pipes.

The Red Devils would get a rematch with the Sting in the semi final game on Sunday morning. Both teams battled hard, exchanging goals and were tied at three at the end of regulation. The Devils were quick to score in four on four overtime, to take the win and advance to the tournament final, which would be another rematch, this time with the Kanata Blazers. Michael Dolton, Cranley and Quick all scored in regulation, and Vince Bellavance buried the game winner in OT. Adding helpers on the goals was Bellavance (2), Dever, Cranley and Miedema. Crowley had a strong game between the pipes.

In the tournament championship game, The Devils brought their very best of the season to date. They dominated the play with their speed and work ethic. In a total team effort, the Red Devils defeated the Blazers 5-2 to earn the championship title. Cal Uens had a hat trick in the championship game, while Brydges and Quick also added a goal each. Adding helpers on the goals was Cranley (2), Schneider (2), Bellavance, Lynch, Lowry, Oke and Dever. Crowley was sharp between the pipes in the victory.
