In the lone game of the week the Vanderlaan Minor Bantams hosted the first place Whitby Wildcats on Wednesday December 7, 2016. The Devils would play the first period strong with both teams unable to find the back of the net. Whitby would be the first to score and would net a second before the Devils could get on the board. With just over a minute left in the second period Nathanial Burelle scored, assisted by Issac Uens and Connor Brooks. Unfortunately, Whitby went on to score two unanswered goals in the third period. The Wildcats would win with a final score of 4-1. Ethan Fraser was solid in net despite the loss.
