International Silver Stick Tournament

The Pita Pit Minor Peewees took part in the International Silver Stick tournament this weekend. 

They faced the Mississauga Senators on Thursday. The Red Devils took the loss in this one 4-0. On Friday night Quinte hit the ice against the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs. The Red Devils outworked and outplayed the Chiefs but couldn't buy a goal in a 1-0 loss. Liam Boyer was solid in net for the Devils. On Saturday the Devils pulled out a 2-1 win against a top ranked team from the USA the Midfairfield Rangers. Ben Sherwin started out the scoring with assists to Kaiden Harmon and Deke Osterhout. Sherwin scored again with a rocket that went top corner from Carter Chadwick and Mason Boyer. Reece Herman was strong in net for the win. Later on that night the Devils fell to Hauppauge PAL Jr Islanders 5-1. Lone goal came from Harmon assisted by Osterhout. On Deck The Pita Pit Minor Peewees play Peterborough in Belleville on Saturday and travel to Whitby to face the Wildcats on Sunday.
