Submitted By Jeanna Oke on Monday, February 3, 2020
The Quinte Red Devils Novice AAA team had a successful start to their regular season in their first “full ice” league game this past weekend.

The Devils hosted the Oshawa Minor Generals on Saturday at RCAF arena, where they played a fantastic game for the large crowd of fans. In his first game back from an injury, Mason Whalen led the way for his team with an outstanding effort, that led to 2 goals and 2 assists and was awarded the “Team Heart Award” as the hardest working player of the game. Grady Riley and Thomas Marsden each added a pair of goals, while Noah Hughes, and Everett Brown each added single tallies. Carter Vansoelen, Emerson Hailstone, Brown, Marsden and Riley added additional assists in the 8-1 win for the Novice Red Devils. Matt Travers stood tall between the pipes in the team’s first home game. The players would like to thank all their family and friends who attended the game and helped cheer them on! The Devils will hit the road next weekend, for two away games at Peterborough and Clarington.
