The Borchert's Roofing QRD U11 AAA Team have extended their winning streak to 18-0 in ETA League play, after 2 wins this weekend.
On Friday night, the Red Devils travelled down the 401 for an evening tilt with The Markham Waxers. After a bit of slow start, the team found their stride and scored 8 unanswered goals in an 8-0 win. Mason Whalen scored a hat trick in the game, while Grady Riley, Brody Grant, James Gullage, Noah Hughes and Rowyn Haley each added a goal. Chipping in with helpers on the goals; Hughes (4), Jack Woods (2), Edmund Dowling, Austin Pettey and Grant. Matthew travers was solid between the pipes to earn the shutout. Mason Whalen was named player of the game.
On Saturday, the Devils headed to Aurora for a game at St. Andrew's College, against The York Simcoe Express. This time, it was the Express who scored first, but the Red Devils came right back, scoring 5 goals of their own, on their way to a 5-2 win. Lighting the lamp for The Devils; Noah Hughes (2), Cameron Stevens, Miller Nicholson and Mason Whalen. Assists; Whalen (2), Holden Goulah, Nicholson, and Stevens. Dax Sage was sharp in net for the win. Miller Nicholson was named player of the game.
