WEEKLY REPORT - Nov. 22/21
The U14 Free Flow Petroleum Devils dropped a game Saturday but
bounced back strong for a win at home on Sunday.
The weekend began with a 3-0 loss in Whitby on Friday. On Sunday, the
U14s hosted the Peterborough Jr. Petes, where they put their teamwork and drive
on display every minute of the game.
The Petes, scoring first, did not hold onto the lead long, as the Devil’s
responded quickly. Jack Foley, assisted by Matthew Airhart, scored Quinte’s
first goal. The Petes scored once again, only to have Quinte answer with one of
their own. Kaden Koutroulides, from a Liam Campbell feed, evened the period 2-2.
The sequence repeating itself one final time with the Petes scoring first. Airhart
(unassisted) sent the game into the third period, tied up 3-3. Some impressive
Devils action from Katste Brant in net and outward, the home team surged once
more. Airhart, by way of a Moore and Foley set up, earned the game winner. The
Free Flow Petroleum U14s were victorious, 4-3.
Next up: The U14s have a busy schedule this week. Join us for one of home games, Wednesday night at 7:45pm (Family Dental Centre) vs. Kingston or Sunday at 1:30pm (Wally Dever) vs. North Central. The Devils also head to Oshawa on Saturday.
