Gillespies Tree Service QRD U13’s Weekly Report - Nov 28, 2022
After the snow was cleared with an 11 day layoff the Gillespie's Tree Service U13 Quinte Red Devils were back in action!
On Thursday night the visiting Whitby team were just too much for the Red Devils. They broke the Red Devils streak of 8 wins and handed them a 4-1 loss. The lone goal was scored by Lauchlan Whelan with helpers going to Joey Seguin and M.Aird.
On Saturday the U13 team looked to get back on track against the visiting North Central Predators. There was a lot of scoring in this contest with Quinte coming out on top 9-4. The Predators jumped out to a 2-1 lead but Ryerson Swan shut the door and the offenced explode with Whelan netting his first hat trick of the year followed, Martin, Marion, Dahle, Thompson, B. Aird and Andrew Laurin with singles. Clow, Whelan, B.Aird, Dahle, Martin, Hooey, Seguin, Dewar, Harold and M.Aird added assists.
On Sunday the Red Devils traveled west on the 401 to face the Markham Waxers. The Red Devils hoped to get back to back wins and start another winning streak. The Waxers came out tough but the Devils were a determined bunch putting 6 goals by the Markham goalie for a 6-2 victory. Lowry, Thompson, Laurin, Dahle, Seguin and Harold scored for the Red Devils. Assists from Clow, Whelan, Martin, Lowry, Dahle and Seguin. It was a special night for Spencer Harold the former captain of the Northumberland Nighthawks as he scored his first AAA goal. Ryerson Swan got the win in net!
The Red Devils look to win three in a row as they face the Kingston Gaels @ FDC in Belleville at 8:15pm Wednesday night. We are then headed to The Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs Classic tournament this weekend.
