The Bonn Law QRD U13 Red Devils picked up 2 wins in league play this weekend, to take over first place in the league.
On Saturday, the Red Devils hosted The Clarington Toros at Marmora. The team came flying out of the gates, scoring 5 goals in the first period, on their way to a 9-1 win over The Toros. Eight different players lit the lamp in the win; Miller Nicholson (2), Kyler Patterson, Thomas Marsden, Austin Pettey, Cameron Stevens, Rowyn Haley, James Gullage and Brody Grant. Assisting on the goals; Marsden (2), Gullage (2), Edmund Dowling, Fisher Kernohan, Mason Whalen, Tyler Martin, Oliver McCulloch, Patterson, Shea Teather, Grant, Nicholson. Dax Sage was solid between the pipes for the win.
On Sunday, The Devils hosted their ETA rivals, The Central Ontario Wolves, in a game for 1st place. Both teams came to play, and it was The Wolves who scored first, just two minutes into the game. In a back and forth, faced-paced battle, the Devils would tie the game in the first shift of the second period, on a laser shot from Holden Goulah. The two teams continued to exchange chances, before Brody Grant scored the game winning goal at the 10 minute mark of the third period. Matt Travers was very sharp in net to earn the win. Chipping in with helpers on the goals in the 2-1 win; Patterson, Nicholson, Teather and McCulloch.
