A WIN OVER KINGSTON AND WHITBY FOR THE BUS LINERS…….
The Foley Bus Lines Minor Bantams recorded two more wins this past week in ETA action against the Kingston Jr Frontenacs and the Whitby Wildcats.

On Wednesday Nov 1, the Red Devils hosted the Kingston Jr. Frontenacs at the QSWC.  It was all Devils in this matchup.  Noah Richard opened the scoring for the Devils in the second period on assists from Trevor Hoskin and Owen Beck.  The Devils had a 1 to 0 lead going into the third period.  Captain Dalyn Wakely found the back of the Fronts net on helpers from Corbin Roach and Aaron Brown early in the third, to make it a 2 to 0 game.  Midway through the third Noah Richard scored his second of the game, assisted by Corbin Roach and Donovan McCoy. Richard would lite the lamp a third time for the hat trick on feeds from Trevor McDowell and Parker Stewart to give the Devils a 4 to 0 lead.  Corbin Votary was near perfect in the Devils cage, as the shut out was spoiled with less than two minutes in the game, when Kingston scored their only goal.  Final score was 4 to 1 for the Red Devils.

On Saturday Nov 4, the Foley Bus Lines Red Devils travelled to Whitby to take on the Wildcats at the McKinney Ice Centre.  The Devils found themselves in a fast, back and forth game as teams traded goals continuously throughout the match.   Whitby got on the board early just minutes into the game, but the Devils responded with a goal from Noah Richard to even things up.  Assisting were Corbin Roach and Dalyn Wakely.  The Wildcats would take the lead back midway through the first, but again the Devils responded with an unassisted goal by Cooper Matthews to even things at two.  The first period ended with Whitby scoring with just minutes left to regain the lead by a score of 3 to 2.  The Devils opened the scoring in the second, on another goal from Cooper Matthews, assisted by Aaron Brown and Dalyn Wakely, but the Wildcats responded again with a go-ahead goal, to make it a 4 to 3 game going into the third period.  Early in the third; the Devils would even the game, on a goal from Donovan McCoy, assisted by Aaron Brown.  Owen Beck lit the lamp just minutes later to give the Devils a one goal lead.  Dalyn Wakely added another on a breakaway pass from Donovan McCoy to give the Devils a 6 to 4 lead.  Whitby continued to press by adding another goal, but it wasn’t enough, as the Devils held on for the win, by a score of 6 to 5.  Brady Spry and Corbin Votary shared the duties in the Devils cage.

Next Action for the Foley Bus Lines Minor Bantams is this Saturday, Nov 12 as the Devils travel to Oshawa to play the Generals at the Legends Centre.  Puck Drop scheduled for 6:15pm.
