A TOUGH WEEKEND FOR THE FOLEY BUS LINES MINOR BANTAMS…..
The Foley Bus Lines Minor Bantams came out of a tough weekend against Oshawa and Kingston with two losses.

On Saturday Jan 20, the Bus Liners hosted the Oshawa Generals at the QSWC.  The Devils opened the game with an early goal in the first period by Dalyn Wakely.  Assisting on the Wakely goals were; Owen Beck and Parker Stewart.  The Generals evened the game with a goal of their own in the 2nd period to make the game a 1 to 1 tie going into the third.  The Generals scored twice in the third to take a 3 to 1 lead.  Cooper Matthews scored a power play goal late in the third on assists from Dalyn Wakely and Donovan McCoy, but it wasn’t enough as the Generals staved off late pressure by the Devils to take the game by a score of 3 to 2.  Brady Spry made key saves in the Devils net to keep the game within reach.

On Sunday Jan 21, the Devils made the short trip to Kingston to take on the Frontenacs at the Invista Centre.  Each team skated to a scoreless first period.  The Devils scored first on a goal from Dalyn Wakely, assisted by Donovan McCoy and Cooper Matthews.  The Fronts were quick to answer as they scored just minutes later to even the game.  The first goal of the Fronts gave them momentum as they scored three more goals before the end of the 2nd frame.  Following a goalie change for the Devils, the Devils would answer with a goal from Sami Douglas-Najem assisted by Dalyn Wakely to end the 2nd period with the score 4 to 2.  Noah Richard would score in the third on assists from Donovan McCoy and Trevor McDowell, as the Devils mounted last minute pressure.  Despite several last-minute chances, the Devils couldn’t find the back of the Fronts net.  Brady Spry and Corbin Votary shared the duties in the Devils cage in the 4 to 3 loss.

Next action for the Devils is scheduled on Wednesday Jan 24 at the QSWC as the Bus Liners take on the Central Ontario Wolves at 7:45pm.
