Peewee Weekly Report Nov. 5-11
The Madison Excavating Peewees hosted a midweek match up verses the Peterborough Petes and took to road to face York-Simcoe Express on the weekend.
The weekday match up on the CAA Arena was a strong win for the Devils. Landon Wright would open up the scoring on the set up from Carson Campbell and Braedyn Rogers. Campbell would score unassisted to make it 2-0 by the end of the first. Wright and Ben Vreugdenhil would each add one in the second, with assists from Beckett Ewart, Brody Partridge and Rogers. The Petes would sneak one by Dean Spry in net in the third but it would be there only goal against the Devils netminder and they took the 4-1 win.
The Devils took to the road on Saturday to Aurora to take on the York-Simcoe Express at St. Andrew's College. In a fast paced, back and forth game, it would be Quinte who hit the scoreboard first with a goal midway in the first from Jared Langdon, assisted by Thomas Kuipers. The Express would answer back minutes later to tie the game. The remainder of the game would continue to be a back and forth battle but would remain scoreless to the end. The Devils would settle for the tie and single point. Mike McIvor stood tall in net for Quinte.
